A bit about me.
I am a native German genealogist living in Hesse, Germany.
I have experience doing genealogy research, been chasing down my own family members for 10 years, skimming through church
records and archives. Soon I started to do the same for others, too.
I hold a degree in museums studies from the University of Applied Sciences Berlin. During my work in the Municipal Museum of the City of Leipzig and during a period in the nearby State Archive I have worked with all kinds of documents from a range of centuries. I have the skills to read all German scripts that were used in the past (Sütterlin, Kurrent, Fraktur, Gothic). During my life I have learned English in school and lived in Australia, Ireland and Malta, so I can directly translate your document into English. I noticed transcriptions of old German documents into current script that contained a lot of mistakes, especially in the spelling of family names and the names of the towns. These are possibly the most crucial data of your ancestor research, so I pay special attention to crosschecking those. |
